Today was supposed to be our wedding day

Wow! It’s March 27, 2020! The day we’ve been waiting our whole lives for! 15 months of planning, excitement, & joy!
It’s been an emotional roller coaster these past couple of weeks. Finding out that our wedding would have to be postponed due to the Coronavirus, 11 days prior to the date was shocking, heartbreaking, upsetting....for us and SO MANY couples in the same position. Today is going to be special, we have the day to spend together, just the two of us. We don’t have any set plans, we don’t know exactly what to do...but being together is always enough! I baked a cake for us to cut & share and made a topper with a picture of us that says “Almost Married”. 😁 (we weren’t going to have a wedding cake, instead we opted for cake pops for our guests. Probably one of the only non-traditional elements of our wedding)

I always try to look at the bright side of things and find humor and silver linings whenever possible, but I can’t help but be a little sad on this special day, because in all honesty, it’s not the same. The bright side is, we get to enjoy an extended engagement and anticipation of the date that was chosen for us. We, like all other couples in this situation will go down in history!! Of allllll the things that could have happened, who would have predicted a World Wide Pandemic would shift our destiny? 🤣 Hang in there beautiful brides to be! We will have our magical moments when the time is right. In the meantime, be grateful for the love and support that surrounds you and for the person you will have by your side through all of life’s surprises for the rest of your lives! One love! ❤️
