We were supposed to have our big wedding today, but you know how the story goes. I am so glad we had a small intimate wedding first! I loved it. I was wreck all morning. I’m not even sure why I was crying so much. I was happy crying, sad crying, and mad crying. My florist was ill I was just planning on picking up a bouquet from the grocery. I walked in and the one I wanted to buy was gone. A lady walked up and asked me if I needed help and I lost it. I just started crying. She stopped what she was doing , got some help and made me and my daughter the most beautiful bouquet. We had a small ceremony on our family farm. My family lives far away, so my family and friends watched on Facebook Live. My son walked me down the aisle. He is 6. He also carried the rings. My daughter who is 9 was my flower girl/maid of honor. My husbands father and stepmother were there and one friend from church. We had the officiant and the photographer as well. We did a small 1/2 hour photo session on the farm and in a field. After we ate lunch and had cake. It was perfect and I’m just grateful for all the people who came together to make this day special for us.
If your wedding gets postponed, it may feel like the end of the world or that your world is crashing down around you. I just wanted to share this to give some of you hope that this will all be ok. I’m so over the moon right now and thankful we were able to do something still.
