@amanda she also said that her colors weren't "vintage" just "outdated and old", she was honest with her opinion but you never know who you can offend on here...I find that pink and mocha are very in these days as well with "vintage" themed weddings...

She said, "You might be old, but you're not dead." Sorry- 40 isn't old- I realize it's older than usual for a bride, but still....I'm just saying there may have been nicer ways to say that. I haven't been on the site long, and I've enjoyed that until now it's never been "young brides" and "old brides."

My colors are pink and mocha.. I love to think my wedding will look antique and timeless, not old and outdated

Wow, I never expected so many replies to this. I was a little put off by Meghan's reply because my daughter picked my colors and I love them. I think mocha and muted pink are very vintage not dated or old, but to each their own. I have moved on from this dress, by the way. Thank you for the responses.

Agree with the ladies about the dress, and they did post some awesome alternative options for you! Hopefully that gives you a great start! I like your pink and mocha colors. Very pretty! I have seen some really beautiful weddings in the past few years with those exact colors!

I thought the question asked "Too much for a 41 yr old bride?" was in reference to the DRESS, not your wedding colors. I think you can use any color you want! You can use vintage candles, vases, accessories, etc for the vintage theme with any color.

Pnina is EXPENSIVE and frankly her dresses come off gaudy and tacky. There some beautiful dresses out there that I am sure will make you glamorous and beautiful if you want a lot of bling and detail that's cool but Pnina is not the way to go.Now if you want the Kleinfield's experience then okay but I say no to the PNINA

I would not wear that for a wedding--at any age. To me, it looks like something one would wear for seduction, not for a formal ceremony. So if you wanted to wear it in the honeymoon suite that night, fine, but not for the wedding itself.

It does seem a bit much... however, it's your day, and you should choose whatever you like best Smiley smile

My one bit of advice though before you go choosing things and getting your heart set on something is: TRY IT ON FIRST. lol

    hope that helps Smiley smile

@miranda: not all of her dresses are gaudy and tacky...I found one that I wanted but I could never afford (it's at least $8500) and it's not gaudy or tacky at all, it's very elegant to be exact, I fell in love with it when I first looked at it, I can't find the pictures I had of it but it was a mermaid with ribbons that crisscrossed down the bodice of it and I loved it... but I will agree that SOME of her dresses are gaudy, which is what people (young and have lots of money anyhow) are looking for these days if you watch shows like "say yes to the dress" and such most of the girls you see want bling and to show skin and such...it's just what's in right now...even if it's something not everyone likes...
