Too non traditional wedding dres?

Morgan, on January 18, 2020 at 8:19 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 24
I purchased my wedding dress a few months ago and fell in love. It was the 2nd dress I tried on and immediately fell in love!! Now I’m having 2nd thoughts and feeling bad about it bc it isn’t totally white (adding a photo). So many people have said “oh your dress isn’t white??” But it’s ivory and champagne. So... Keep the dress or look for another?? My bridesmaids are wearing the gem/peacock color, if that makes any difference.

Allllsoooo this is the only photo I have of the dress on. Honest opinions please!! Too non traditional wedding dres? 1

I think it’s gorgeous! I too have a champagne dress but mine has white lace over. As long as you feel special and like a bride I wouldn’t worry about what others are saying, that’s the way I’m lookin at it! 😊

My dress is ivory/champagne and I love. It is not multi color lol and if so who cares. If you love it then keep it. Traditions are changing.

Listen, I too had some dress regret after purchasing a dress I loved. First one I tried. My regret was stemming from "Is it too plain?". I saw all these pretty low back, lacey, satin numbers that I wish I had tried on. Honestly, money would have prevented them even if my body had looked good in a style like that (which I doubt it would have!).

I just attended my first fitting, and I fell for my dress again for all the same reasons I had a year ago when I picked it. Price was on point, it flatters me, and it has the lace I wanted.
Don't secind guess it. If you love it, it shouldn't matter what color it is. Don't let other cloud your view!! By the way, I think it is stunning and no one will doubt you are the bride at your wedding!!! ❤

Gorgeous!! Don’t let anyone else’s opinion make you question your choice. How you feel in your dress is all that matters. A lot of brides don’t wear white, it’s becoming more of a trend now. I am not sharing details of my dress with anyone. Maybe stop disclosing the colors since people seem to be reacting inappropriately. It’s YOUR day!

It may not be white white, but in the realm of colors, I avoided that color as it was too white for me.

I think it's a beautiful dress. And if it helps any...the lady who helped me at the bridal store said most dresses these days are in ivory or champagne. She said that typically white is a special order color now. I mean she could've just been making it up as she went along but after thinking about the last 5 or 6 weddings I've been to only one of them wore a white dress. The rest were ivory colored.

That is such a pretty dress!! And the color is perfect. Don’t worry about what anyone else says, it’s not their dress and not their wedding. And I don’t think many people wear true white anymore. My dress is a light silver color.

Your dress doesn't have to be white! True white looks really unflattering on most skin tones, which is why 95% of the "white" dresses in bridal shops are actually some variation of ivory or cream. Champagne and blush wedding dresses are super on trend at the moment, and paired with ivory its most certainly a bridal combination.

Go with the dress you love. Its gorgeous btw!

Your dress is gorgeous and definitely bridal! My dress was champagne and I don’t regret it at all.
