Too Revealing?

I think you look great. Personally I don't think I would wear it after your fiancé's comments. He knows his family best. In the end you have to go with your gut.

I was considering the same style in the long midnight blue for bridesmaids dresses. I ordered it for next week for them to try on. I hope it's not too revealing!

First off, you do look great in that dress. I personally wouldn't wear it to the RD, but rather out with FH or friends instead. In the end though, your opinion is the one that matters. If you feel comfortable wearing it out with your FILs, then I say go for it!

It's a beautiful dress but I'd save it for an adult dinner/cocktail function, not a wedding.

I don't know if it's just me, but the bottom of the dress doesn't look like it was meant to be with the top at all. I'm not a fan personally, but if you're happy and like it, wear it!

If FH isn't comfortable with it, why even consider it? How many other dresses exist that you could wear? It's not about who is right and who is wrong - "Is this really too revealing?" is not the correct question. Realize that in considering wearing this dress, you're actually asking, "Is this dress cute enough to make my FH uncomfortable in front of all his family?" I'm afraid no dress is that cute.... Be respectful of his wishes and wear this dress some other time (hot honeymoon date??).

@Chivy - the top looks nightclub style and the bottom looks like a very professional skirt lol. The top is very pretty though.

Yes! I don't like the conflicting styles and I think it would look better as one color. I'm not a fan of dresses that look like blouse and skirt separates.

It looks amazing on you! Totally something I would wear if I had the body shape.

I love it. I wouldn't worry about it being too risqué but you know your crowd.

I think it looks great, but knowing my family it probably wouldn't go over well with them. They wouldn't say anything, but would probably make them uncomfortable.
