Too Revealing?

So I got this from Rent the Runway, it was a designer I'd never worn before so I decided to do a test rental and see if the dress would work for my Rehearsal Dinner (instead of waiting and hoping that it fit and end up potentially rushing to find a dress the day of). So I got this from Rent the Runway, it was a designer I'd never worn before so I decided to do a test rental and see if the dress would work for my Rehearsal Dinner (instead of waiting and hoping that it fit and end up potentially rushing to find a dress the day of).

I love the way it looks on me, I really like the way it is so risqué but doesn't show too much. However, after FH zipped up the dress last night he says it may be too revealing for a "family affair." So- I'm curious what you other ladies, and gentlemen, think of it! Bit of back info- our RD will be at a fancy-ish Steak & Seafood House, only family is siblings, parents & grandparents.

Such a personal preference that is weighted on beliefs etc. I absolutely love it, I would not wear it around my dad's side of the family but I would around my mom's side and my FH's family. It really just depends on your guest and your/their comfort level. It is revealing for sure but I do think it is still classy

I don't think it's too revealing. It's a beautiful dress and it looks great on you!

I've seen wedding dresses that reveal more than this. I love that dress and if you feel comfortable in it, you should wear it!

This dress is gorgeous! If you're comfortable in it and want to wear it, then you should. Don't let anyone else tell you what you can and can't wear.

That dress is cute af. If I had the body to pull that off I would. I think it looks great and is plenty tasteful.

Sorry @TazGully - lmao @ honoring my FH's thoughts when it comes to how I am dressed. I love my FH, but the minute he tries to regulate how I am dressed, he'd be out. It's a shame, because it's only women who need to be "considerate" about how they are dressed. It feeds into society viewing women as sexual objects and nothing else.

If someone is uncomfortable with how I am dressed, that is THEIR problem. I'm not asking my guests to wear pasties and g strings.

ETA: OP - you look stunning in that dress and I think it is a perfect RD dress. Let grandma clutch her pearls.

I think you look great in that dress-- you look really happy! So wear it! It's definitely not too revealing for the RD.

Psssh if only I could look like you in that dress! Wear it and flaunt it girl!! Like BeMyGuest said, use some clothing tape in some spots to keep it from shifting around.
