Too soon for bridesmaid proposal?

Hi everyone!! I got engaged November 2020, and just booked my venue for September 23rd, 2022. Is now too early to do a bridesmaid proposal ? Or since it’s a long time away wait til closer to a year out to ask my ladies?

I'm getting married 9/17/2022 and am sending out my bridemaid proposal cards this week! I've been engaged since May 2020 though, so I am ready to start some of the planning haha. But I also don't have any concern that my friendships will change in the next few years since we've been friends for so long.

My wedding is much after yours, will probably be in 2023, and despite what others have said I'm still going to ask mine in a month or so. I'm pretty confident nothing will change with my friends, as why would we all of a sudden not like eachother. We are adults and communicate if something were to bother us we'd talk about it and come to agreement to disagree.

I want my ladies there as my official brides maids and I want their opinions on EVERYTHING.
You know your relationship with them better than any stranger on the internet so just ask if you want to.
I'm also just doing a funny bridesmaid card to each of them, and closer to the wedding will do something more personal.

I found some super cute stuff on Etsy, so I got those ! Will do something more personal closer to the date.
This makes me feel good 🤣 I know for a fact I want them by my side! Just wasn’t sure how early normally people ask !

Did you do 2023 to hopefully have less restrictions from covid ?

I have a pretty similar timeline! Engaged in Nov. 2020 and getting married end of Oct. 2022. I just bought all the stuff for my bridesmaids asks..... my sister is dying to get asked so I am asking her this upcoming month, asking my other friend after her wedding in March when I visit her as she lives out of town and then my other also lives out of town and I have plans to visit her in May!!! Never to early to ask lol

2023 because less restrictions from COViD and to make sure I have more than enough to cover everything.
We've also been dating for 10 years so what's another 2.5 years until we are married? 😂

Nah...if you're dead set on who you want there on your special day, I'd say "pop the question". I'm sure every woman at some point thought of this long before ever being engaged. Just me?

You definitely can do it before the 6-8 month mark, you don't have to follow that. I did mine even before 1 year of when my wedding was supposed to be and we haven't had any type of problems with any of our wedding party. My husband and I got married October of 2020 and our big wedding was scheduled for March 2021 which we ended up postponing till October 2021. So all together it will be almost 2 years for our bridal party.

My situation has been similar to yours! I got engaged December 2018, and am getting married August 2021 (initially March 2021, but changed the date due to covid). But I waited until exactly a year before my new wedding date, which was august to ask! And I’m so glad I did, because who I initially had in my mind as my bridal party changed. The person I was going to have as my MOH completely disrespected me, so I cut her as a friend. It would have been messy if I had asked her already though. This is why I suggest waiting until you’re closer to the wedding! & Congratulations 🎉 So exciting to be planning your dream wedding! ❤️

Girl do it whenever you are ready!! If they say yes, hopefully your relationship is tight enough that they will still be there later!

Do whatever you wanna do! That's what I'm going with. I already asked my girls and I just got engaged. I am a person who liked to plan things out in advance so its less stressful. So if your like me or just want to start I saw go for itSmiley smile

We are planning for September of 2022 also! I asked my brides maids immediately. I did this because they are all my closest friends and I want them by my side helping me through every step. Even though it’s well over a year away, there’s still a lot of planning that can be done now so I didn’t think it was too early to ask (plus most of them already assumed that they were going to be in the bridal party)

I’d do one for the girls that you are 100% positive will be in your life. Or just wait til it gets closer. You don’t wanna regret asking someone
