Trader Joe's Flowers - Try to Order Ahead?

I am having a super small wedding of 25 people and there will only be 4 tables and 1 sweetheart table.

My local Trader Joe's has amazing flowers - always very fresh looking. I am thinking I'll pick some up the day before the wedding for the table centerpieces.

They almost always have white hydrangeas and greenery - which is what I would love to use. I've seen them almost every time I've gone but I'm worried the 1 day I go they'll be out.

My question is - has anyone ever used Trader Joe's for flowers? Do you think it would be out of line to call them and ask them to order some extras for me?

Doesn't hurt to ask! I'm using Wegmans for my wedding flowers. Obviously a bigger operation (and I'm having a bigger wedding), but they can take orders if there are specific flowers and plants you're interested in. Call 'em up!

@Anne - I'm just nervous they'll look at me like I'm crazy. I just know with my luck - I'll go and have them be sold out.

Definitely call ahead. I do wedding flowers occasionally from home and ordering from a grocery store is great, especially when you don't want to order a whole box of something. But you can absolutely call ahead and ask them to order you things.

I would talk with the person in charge of grocery. I know Whole Foods does order and will give a discount for a box or case.

Call ahead, at least two weeks. We used Trader Joes for my Mom's funeral and they were super easy to work with and the flowers looked absolutely stunning. We are planning on using them again for our wedding since our flower requirements are going to be minimal at best.

Thank you all for your responses. I will call ahead. I've been going back and forth if I needed to or if I should just take a chance. Glad to know other people have had success!
