Traditional or Contemporary Wedding Ceremony Music??? Which are you leaning towards?

Ellen, on January 3, 2012 at 4:41 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 17

Hello fellow WW friends! Have you chosen your ceremony music yet? What are you walking in to...traditional or contemporary?

I am not positive what I will be walking in to yet but I know the BP is walking in to Peter Lee Johnson's mix of Lupe Fiasco/ Pachelbel :-) I love the mix of classic with pop!

Our music will be more contemporary.

Parents and grandparents will be walking in to Josh Grobans "You raise me up"

and I will be walking in to Johnny Gills " You for me"...that's as far as I got so far!!

Both! THE BM's will walk in to Canon in D (Pachelbel) and I am walking in to Brighter than the Sun by Colbie Caillatt. I love the balance of classical and contemporary

We're mixing it up a bit. We're having either a trio or string quartet. I'm walking down to All I Ask of You from phantom of the Opera. Runaway by the Corrs will be in the prelude as well as Think of me. My FI is a composer so he wants some classical pieces mixed in like Ode to joy, Minuet in G, etc. I'm thinking of having All you need is Love by the Beatles for the recessional.

    I don't have a choice.

Not only do I have to use traditional christian or classical songs, but I am also REQUIRED to use the church's organist and musicians instead of bringing in my own. I MIGHT be allowed to have my sister sing ONE song, and even that is not a definite.

I'm trying to decide between two new pop bride's entrance songs from www.weddingmusiccentral.com. "Here She Comes" and "When She Walks" are great! So far I can't decide.

We got married in the Catholic Church so we had classical music, which I would go with anyway. I had a church pianist and singer and I got to pick out all the music, which was fairly easy since there are a lot of classical and church songs that I have always like.
