Traditions at weddings

Are you talking about Russian heritage or Russian Orthodox? I believe the Russian Orthodox have several traditions in their weddings. However, I'm not entirely certain of any specific Russian heritage traditions not linked to religion, and my family is all straight off the boat. Russian Jews typically include traditions similar to all Jewish weddings, such as certain dances.

I'm assuming your future spouse is Russian Orthodox? In that case, I would think they or their family would be a great resource.

Maybe you can integrate some of those. Otherwise, there aren't really any secular traditions that I am aware of. Hopefully someone else on here may also be familiar with Russian heritage and can provide more input. I was born here, but my parents are both from there and came to the US as adults, and they didn't mention any Russian traditions when I was planning my wedding.
