Traditions

When it comes to traditions it seems that many are lost now a days.

A little back story, me and my great grandmother were extremely close unfortunately she passed just 6 mth before I celebrated my sweet-sixteen she live to be 80 so I was very fortunate, however it was something so unexpected. She always found a way to stay active but unfortunately as we age it becomes harder for our bodies to heal. I don’t know if it just me being home that is making me think about Her many memories have started popping in my head for example every Mother’s Day she used to order a round white cake with strawberry filling, whipped frosting and sugar flowers were the most beautiful thing. She always picked light colors saying that it couldn’t be to bright because it was about the taste of the cake. Now that I’m older it seems like my family has grown apart little by little and sometimes it better to remember the good time instead of allowing bad ones to enter.
Question: with traditions fading are there some brides that are still keeping some traditions around? If so what are your ideas I would love to hear then?

When I was young my grandma always used this one set of dishes for big gatherings/ holidays and I thought it was because they were an antique heirloom. So when she died I asked to have them. (It turns out she bought them and it was used at holidays because it was the biggest set she had. Lol)
So I'm going to incorporate them into our buffet and coffee bar. Pay homage to grandma. ❤
