Interesting how some people in the comments were being told that DB was "trash" for dresses. Guess I'm wearing trash. Lol!!

I just skimmed, but seriously, people can be soo awful!!! I mean, to tell a bride WHO ALREADY BOUGHT HER DRESS that the store she got it from is worthless, you have to have some kind of sickness in your brain!

DB is actually pretty amazing if you think about it-- they have soo many different styles to fit a wide range of tastes, they don't stop their sizing at some ridiculous point just so larger women can't wear their dresses, and not only are they affordable day-to-day, but they have some of the most generous sales! *Everyone* who wants a wedding gown should be able to afford one, and I'm sure DB has helped more woman than all other dress sources combined!

I have two dresses from DB. Total cost is less than $500. One for the reception, one for the ceremony. I love them both.

I almost got my dress from there, I found them down to earth. The were not snotty like the gals in the high end neighborhood shop. If they had what I wanted, I would have got mine there, That being said I found a really nice and much prettier dress for less money at a local shop close to home. The deal I could not pass up.

DB's definitely serves a large audience and I don't think anyone should ever tell someone they have a 'trashy' dress just because it's on the less expensive end for wedding dresses.

I found David's dresses to have a clearly lower quality than other brands, but that's what you get with any kind of clothing - the shirts at Target probably aren't going to last as long as a shirt from Macy's.

That said, I figured I would only be wearing my wedding dress for...what? maybe 8 hrs max? So what if it won't hold up to be worn 10 times? So I tried DB's first in my search for a gown and had no issue buying from there.

I didn't find 'the dress' at David's, but I would never rag on someone who did if they love their dress!

My FH has bought me dresses from a local "boutique" (read $&dollarSmiley winking and after a year of wearing, they've only held up slightly better than dresses I've bought at Ross/TJ Maxx. There are times when cost has nothing to do with quality.

I can't imagine having someone give a bride a hard time over where she bought her dress. For me, it was a simple matter of not wanting to "rob Peter to pay Paul" - or in wedding terms, rob the DJ to pay for my dress. Ha!

In the end is all about what we want & feel good in. The only reason I didn't check DB was we had horrible customer service from the one in Saratoga/Albany area when my best friend got married. She had an appointment & her "consultant" spent 95% of that time with other people. Then gave ME attitude when I went & grabbed some veils to try on my friend for her dress. I'm sure my dress would be considered lower than trash cause I bought direct from China, no shop involved

DB has been awesome for me. I can't fathom spending sooo much money on a dress I will wear for one day. Is it "inferior" quality? Probably, but I am wearing it for 7 hours, max. It doesn't look cheap, and it's not like I'm going to wear it again. I was treated with nothing but respect at DB and I went in there with a smaller budget ($500), plus I am a street size 14, which limits a lot of my boutique options anyway.

I also got my bridesmaids dresses from there, which was super convenient since 3 of my 5 bridesmaids live in other states. I was able to send them style numbers and the color, they went in when they could, tried them on, chose one and ordered at their local store.

I went to an independently-owned boutique and while the consultants were nice, I felt I got better, more attentive service at Davids. I loved my dress, and had a positive experience. No regrets.

I bought my dress from David's Bridal. And I LOVE it! The consultant was totally sweet, and the selection was great. The after-purchase customer service totally sucked, but at least I have the dress I wanted. I can't wait to walk down the aisle to my hunny in this dress!

I went to about 8 different salons and actually got the best service at DB. Not every time, but my best experience was there. I didn't purchase from them because it seemed like every dress I tried on was a dress one of my friends had worn at their wedding.

I went on a Friday night and the place was empty and I received great service. But, I've been with friends on Sat. and I had to pull their dresses and help them in and out of the dresses, get their accessories, and chase down their consultants for questions. But then I've had to do that at swanky salons, so I don't think DB is any worse, from my experiences.

Didn't even read it, but those who call it trash can go suck it.

I got my dress from a small boutique. I thinks its just all depends on what you are looking for. I refused to go to DB only because I know the odds of someone having my same dress is even more liking and I just wanted something really different that what they offered (in my opinion). I just started to notice whenever I looked at wedding pics of the bride and the bridemaids I could tell the dress came for DB its just started getting a little old for me. Although DB does save you from the hassle of getting the dress all at once and other things you may encounter at smaller shops. I wouldn't go as fair as saying DB's dresses are trash the quality is good I have several BM dresses from there. I thinks is more along lines that every brides shops there, its the go to place for everything bridal.

I felt rushed when I went back to pick up my dress, inspect it, and buy a veil. I'm still happy though! Love everything I got!

Well one thing I've learned in the process (and from WW); those planning a wedding can become really polarized to their opinion.

It doesn't matter where you get your dress from as long as you like it and it makes you feel bridal. I didn't want to go into DB, but my friend made me. I was really surprised. And that is where I ultimately purchased my dress(es).

Pssh my DB dress is made by the same designer who designed dresses for Jackie O', Marilyn Monroe, and Grace Kelly, just to name a few, so I guess they're all trashy, too!

Wow I never realized that people could be so petty about clothing brands. I could care less about what brand name you are wearing or what I am wearing. The important part is that you love it and look and feel great in it and are able to afford it.
