Capital one Venture is the best and has a 60000 bonus mile special if you spend 3k in the first 3 months.

Two cards we have with annual benefits: Marriott Bonvoy and AmEx Delta Skymiles.

Marriott gets you a free hotel night every year with the the $95 annual fee. We feel that it pays for itself alone with that feature. My fiance and I both have this card independently and plan to each keep it for the time being so we can get two nights a year.

The AmEx Platinum gets you a free companion ticket every year. We've only missed one year of using it. I believe that one is $250 a year. FH just upgraded to the Reserve card and you get a free first class companion ticket after the first year renewal. You also get lounge access.

I still have the AmEx Gold Skymiles card which doesn't have much in terms of benefits other than an annual $100 credit if you spend $10,000. I'll upgrade it eventually.

We also have an American Airlines Advantage card as well but there's no awesome benefits to it other than collecting points. We live in Dallas (an AA hub) so we rack up points for upgrades/flights pretty quickly.

Every card should have a enrollment bonus so keep an eye out.

If you don’t like annual fees, I’d suggest the Discover Miles. Whatever amount of miles you accrue in your first year, they add that to your account at the 1 year anniversary. I earned a lot and we booked an Airbnb for free for a little trip we are taking in January of next year. Really nice to have that after spending so much on a wedding this year 😂

I have Discover Miles and my fiance has Capital One Venture. Love both of them, though discover isn't always accepted in other countries so we typically get more use out of his.

Chase Sapphire Preferred is very popular that's what we ended up going with.
