Travel Fee for Photographer Who Isn't Traveling?

Vendors can set their own threshold for travel distances and when they start charging a fee. I saw fees for anything over 30 miles, or 45 miles outside of the city.

I think most vendors with traval fees do it based on mileage. My vendors are all traveling 45ish minutes to our venue from the next town over and have no fees but there were a few I talked to who did have fees because it was over 30 miles in distance.

A lot of photographers out here will charge a travel fee over for 15 miles of travel. It's a little ridiculous, but on the flip side some don't charge a travel fee at all. You could try and find other photographers but if you really want that particular one, I would eat the travel fee cost.

Yea, in this area I have seen travel fees for anything outside of the city (because we have terrible traffic) but I have also seen travel fees for like anything over 50 miles. So I would expect everyones to be a little different

My officiant is only 30 minutes away from the venue, but he's charging a $25 travel fee. It's just up to the vendor.
