Traveling with a Nothing Bundt Cake?

@AGrandVoyage, on April 11, 2015 at 7:22 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 9

Cake is so important to me, its my favorite thing. Seriously.

I know there is NOT a bakery on the island where we are getting married.

I am considering taking a "Nothing Bundt Cake" with us and decorating it with flowers and extra frosting there. I am a travel agent, so we travel all of the time and I think if I got the right bag we would carry it on. ... Nothing Bundt Cakes have drizzle icing, so its not like it will get too messed up, and the bakery agreed to give me some frosting tubes, any thoughts?

Omg I love those! Definitely worth it. I think it could be done considering they come wrapped and everything as well.

I say go for it! They make the BEST cakes!!! THey also are REALLY good at packing them to stay fresh. I believe they will send them via FedEx to you packed cold to preserve the freshness of the icing. You may want to ask! Good Luck!!

I would put it in a box. As someone who has traveled with a nothing bundt cake the cellophane gets pressed into the icing if it is moved too much. I think putting it in a box would help.

Sounds like a great idea if they don't have bakery!

We carried the entire bottom tier of our cake onto the plane with us, as well as my bouquet. It was a small enough bag to put on the ground in front of me, but I'm also 5'0 and require zero leg room.
