Traveling with a wedding dress

Take it carry on and ask a flight attendant to put it in the coat closet for you. They’re usually accommodating but it’s still taking a slight risk.

Make sure you have a way to steam it or you’ve identified a professional to do it at your destination!

I am a flight attendant and we will gladly hang it in our closet. With 3 requests.....please don't demand it, the coat closet is actually just for first class but we are happy to help, please know it will get wrinkled, most airplane closets are about 4ft tall, and most importantly please let us have a little peek. 😊 Finally don't forget it. You say no way but it happens a lot. People run off to make a tight connection or aren't used to the extra item.

How should you pack a wedding dress? Does a regular garment bag work or should I buy a special garment bag?
