Trial sessions

Hello! Very excited that our date is now less than five months away! I am scheduling my hair and makeup trial for March. What is the appropriate amount to tip my stylists? 20 % doesn’t seem like enough for all the work that might be done. I am trying out at least two hair styles and I’m having some contouring done on a broken nose. I live in the Philadelphia area for cost of living info. Please let me know what your thoughts are!

I think a 20% tip is totally fine (assuming you're happy with the services), though if you want to tip more than that, you can give however much you'd like!

I thought that given the amount of time that20% would be considered too little

Are they charging you for the trials? If so, that amount would be the compensation them for their time, since they set their pricing and they determine what amount they want for their time. A tip on top of that is extra cash for them.

20% is standard. Remember, you will also be paying and tipping them on your wedding day. So 20% is enough for your trial.
