So, long story short I grew up daddy's girl. 8 yrs ago <at age 25> I found out he is pedophile. I recently lost my big sister to suicide. I am going to try to walk through my day as gracefully as possible. But there is definitely still a thorn there!!! God has been my source of strength though all of this. I'll be making it very clear to the dj NO dad songs. My uncle is officiating My big brother will walk me down the aisle but wedding planning has offered almost 0 with anything else anti dad. Any suggestions, thoughts, ideas, strength to share? 🥺🥰

As far as music goes, I would like to suggest White Wedding by Billy Idol for you and your brother to dance to in place of the "Father/Daughter" dance.
My biological father was an addict and alcoholic who spent most of mine and my brother's life in prison, my adoptive father was depressed and committed suicide by cop when I was in middle school, and my adoptive mother's partner is an alcoholic who I can't stand to be around so I am with you in the anti-dad wedding planning.
I'm not sure what other aspects of wedding planning you're looking to alter to exclude the father aspect but I'll happily help in suggestions for alternatives to fit into your day should you provide any details.
