Trouble finding hair and makeup

My wedding is 10/3/20. I’ve been just taking my time with things since we have most stuff covered and I’m in school full time again and working full time so I haven’t been too focused on wedding planning. But I’ve been looking for hair and makeup artists and the ones that I love are already booked for my date. I’m starting to really panic. It’s either I go for a place where my bridesmaid had her hair and makeup done for another wedding and she said it was “pretty alright.” Not what I’m going for. Or a place for my hair that I love BUT they want a $500 deposit which is insane to me especially because that’s just hair and not even make up. I don’t know what to do. I’ve had makeup done at ulta, Mac and Sephora and I hated it every time.

October is a pretty popular time of year for weddings. For hair and makeup, I only had to pay $85 deposit. However, I remember other people wanted a deposit placed for each bridesmaid which I definitely wasn't doing. I would keep looking and definitely read reviews. I found my hair stylist and makeup artist on here, but I also looked on The Knot. I looked at your profile and saw that you hired other vendors in Sayville so I have linked a couple of hair stylists and makeup artists that have good reviews in that area. Hope this helps!
