True! FH has literally begged to just elope but I am from a big family and it is honestly so important to have my family there!

True, true true, 100000% True! Like everytime somthing goes sideways. I think "forget this! Let's save ourselves some money, runaway and get hitched somewhere." But FH talks some sense into me that I'd end up regretting the spur of the moment decision.

True! I came to the discussion board just to see if I was alone or not and found this. I’ve been engaged for 2 months and I already want to throw in the towel and go to the courthouse. We are also building a home. Today, for example, I called three venues and emailed a caterer while on break at work. I got an email back about scheduling a venue tour Saturday. I called my FH, who told me I needed to call my dad (our contractor) to find out when he needed him to work on the house this weekend, my dad told me to check the weather and call him back in a few hours. I’ve yet to get a timeframe from him.....so no tour booked. I keep hearing that’s the most important thing to do and I can’t seem to carve out time to even go look at these venues. I also got our catering info today. I just realized we are paying 3k+ to feed 100+ people when maybe 20 of them have been to our home. Seems like a lot for one day. My FH and I are paying for it all ourselves and I don’t have a coordinator/planner.

So true! I’ve gotten over planning quite a lot. 😂

True - but only in the beginning! When I first started looking at prices, I got SUPER overwhelmed, but I'm happy now to be having a wedding.

Oh, don't be sad, Future_Mrs.concanon!! You're in the final stretch!! You've got this!! If you can afford to, I'd take a couple days off from wedding planning, hang out, and come back focused and centered.

View Quoted Comment After discussion with my FH we’ve decided to spend the extra money and have a planner/coordinator. With my only help being my best friend and FH (his is mainly moral support and a phone call here and there on a weekend) and all of us working it’s just unrealistic for me to do this and not be super stressed. I think once we decide on a venue and pay the planner it will be much less stressful. Ironically we chose a long engagement to cut down on the stress. Lol!

True that is the been something we have talked about because my fiancé said we could have a wedding we can go get married in Vegas and I’ll tell you buddy he doesn’t care I want to wait so we’re getting a wedding but both all of the Lope makes it so much easier sometimes when wedding planning book of stressful

False. He and I both had dinky first weddings, and since we found each other again after dating in 1985 we want to celebrate that
