Trying to see venue's can be a chore and the price tag now wow!

I was having trouble booking appointments for flowers, bakers, DJ & photographer. I booked everything months in advance. We live in northern AZ with our venue in the Phoenix area (2.5 hours away). He’s a firefighter with an alternating schedule so booking mths in advance was the only option.
We had big sticker shock when we started looking at venues. We low balled ourselves & when we started looking, figuring out our must haves we were shocked! Original budget was $10k- we doubled it to get the wedding & honeymoon of our dreams! We’re at $15 with our final payment of $4k due next week. Last thing to buy is the alcohol.

View Quoted Comment That’s crazy! Our venue has an all inclusive package that we signed up for. Part of that is a $400 budget for flowers. That covers my bouquet, sweetheart table centerpiece & flowers for the cake. I hit Hobby Lobby for my bridesmaids flowers/ribbon ($30) & bought 2 wrist corsages for my stepmom & FMIL (2 for $11).

We lucked out with our venue. $1500 for 12 hours and the ceremony and reception are at the same site. Table, chairs, and linens are included and it has a full kitchen. The owner is so sweet and allowing us to make payments. We are considering having champagne but not sure since some of our family does not drink. When we did go look at other venues the prices were crazy
