Turning a piece of cardstock into a magnet

Jamie, on September 21, 2011 at 10:49 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 5

Has anyone tried this??? I have alot of cardstock leftover from my "Be my Bridesmaid" cards and I was thinking of possibly turning the leftovers into STD magnets?

My BIL has some magnet machine, I have no idea how it works but my sister said we could use that. Anyone familiar with that?

Why not? You could get self-adhesive magnetic strips or sheets. Something like this (although a craft store may have something in a better quantity for you):

I've never heard of that, but I bet you could find some inexpensive adhesive magnet strips?

I found a cardstock that I loved and I basically used it one way or another throughout in all of my wedding stuff. Invites, menus, escort cards, programs, and now my thank you cards. I had a print shop scan the pattern of the cardstock and then they were able to print it faintly as a background for use with some of my DIY stuff.

It saved me a ton of money, helped me draw all my colors together, and made for a cool cohesive addition! Do it!! Smiley smile

Ohhh yes! Thanks J&R! Basically the machine BIL has turns business cards into magnetic business cards. I think we're going to try to use that first. If it doesn't work, we will have to buy that magnetic adhesive.
