Turning Bouquet into Resin Sphere

Christine, on February 29, 2016 at 11:02 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 16

Has anyone ever heard of preserving their bouquet in a clear resin sphere? I keep seeing this picture on Pinterest, but they are in the UK. I'm obsessed with this idea if it actually works. I'm tempted to test it out somehow. It looks gorgeous! Let me know any thoughts, ideas, comments?

Oh I love that idea! No idea where I would put it, but then again I also don't know where I'll be putting my preserved bouquet anyway.

Now THAT is really pretty. I don't care for the look of preserved bouquets and gowns, they seem so funereal to me.

I'm not sure, I know I want to preserve it because I'm spending so much on it. I like this idea better though.

If I can find the mold to do this, I will attach the link on here. I'm on a HUNT! even if its just some of the flowers it would still be great. Paperweights everywhere lol

Wow, that's beautiful! I've never seen this before. I know that doesn't help. Haha.

Now this is cool! I did some research and it looks like it could be DIY-able. http://www.ehow.com/how_5908786_preserve-flowers-resin.html

Amazon has the epoxy resin and paperweight molds for sale!

That is really cool!! I just recently decided I'll be DIYing some floral preservation in silica gel. You can order it on amazon, preserve the buds of the flowers and arrange them like the expensive companies do. I'm either going to fill a shadow box with the flower buds, or show case them in the terrarium were using as a card box.

There's a website called freezeframe.com they freeze dry your bouquet and put it in a lovely frame. I have one picked out for my bouquet. I love the idea

That's lovely. I don't know that I'd want my entire bouquet preserved that way (what would I do with a massive resin sphere?!?!) but doing it with a few flowers, or a miniaturized version of your bouquet, could be great!

Since we're having some succulents in our bouquets and boutinneers my aunt bought me a terrarium, and we're going to plant some of those after the wedding. Thought it was a waaaaay cooler idea then preserving my overly large bouquet.

Wondering if you tried it. I’ve been thinking the same thing. Can’t find any in the US that are that sphere shape.
