Tux Rentals - Men's Warehouse or Jos A Banks??

I want to get the tux rentals off the list soon and I'm pretty sure my fiance doesn't care what place we go with as long as the price is reasonable and the quality is good. Please let me know if you'd recommend one over the other. Price? Selection? Quality? Overall Experience? Thanks!!

Our groomsmen are buying awesome suits from Macy's that are Alfani brand for about $175 each. Seemed easier and more practical than renting for close to the same price.

We are going with JAB. My ladies are getting their dresses from Alfred Angelo and they match all of their colors. I looked at a few other rental places as well including MW. Like other brides have mentioned, unless your dresses are coming from DB it's nearly impossible to find an accurate color match. We haven't ordered the tuxes yet, but the few times we went into JAB, all the sales staff were extremely helpful & friendly. MY FH is getting his tux for free as well since we have 5 rentals!!

Honestly both can be pricey even when they give you a discount. I found a local tux place by my house that had all the same tux's as the others 2 places and for a fraction of the price. We just had all the guys get sized at Mens Wharhouse and my hubby picked them all up. It worked out great and it was much cheaper. Good Luck

We looked online at Men's Warehouse and JAB, but neither had a vest/tie/accessory color that was even slightly similar to the bridesmaids dresses, so I really don't know where to go now! The GM span across three states so it can't be something local to just me, either. And FH is too busy to look stuff up or figure anything out, so the task is going to me, and I have NO idea!

We got out guys tuxes from tip top tux cause we made a seperate email for wedding junk emails and got a $500 off tuxes and Fhs was free so we split the 500 amoung all the guys so they were all about $100 a piece.

I think we're doing the Tuxedo House in Timonium. The prices were better then Men's Warehouse and Jos A Bank and the service was much better as well.

We are using Mister Penguin in our town, they are a Jims Formal Wear retailer. They are wonderful! We are receiving our groom free as well as a $40 off coupon for the groomsmen. We had no problems matching our colors or finding the look we wanted. What's even better is that we have guys from out of town (both of our families) and all they had to do was go to the jimsformalwear.com website and find a retailer to get measured at.

Be real careful with MW, It can be a good deal or a rip. A lot of smaller tuxedo places are cheaper but there is some reason to go with MW, When we went they were trying to rent us $200 tux. after walking out the manager stopped me and offered $99.99 tux. I kept asking what the difference is and finially she told me, Its the same tux as 199.99 ONLY difference is no socks, Jewelry pieces, pants, jacket, tie, shoes, vest, and suspenders. I don't understand why the have same tux with $100 difference. GO in there and say, I know its $100. Well there $30-$40 discounts are pre done, So if you get $30 of a tux its still 99.99. That's confused me but whatever. We like how easy it is, If your groomsman are spread out in different areas MW is better, My groomsman, Me and best man used Different store, Your local shops probably have them for $80 without the shoes, If you go in there and act like you know there schemes you can make out better, Don't use new employes who don't know system.

Also there paperwork can be very confusing, each tux all most has different prices, Some have tax added some don't, Its weird and confusing. ALSO KEEP ALL RECIEPTS when I was there someone had to repay day before wedding because he didn't have receipt. Keep em, Know what you are doing and don't use new employee that doesn't know same tux is $199.99 IS ACTUALLY 99.99 without the socks, To be honest when u get free grooms tux with 5 or more rentals, Kids count as long as they are over 5T. The sale is free rental or free suite to keep. It's better to get the free suite to keep however my budget for wedding is getting slim so I went with free tux rental. I don't know what the conditions are for free suite to keep, I think 400 and under value and still only need 5 rentals, It seems way better but im sure there is loop holes. Hope my info helps. N again discounts are pre done so if u pick 99.99 tux u don't get 30 off. That confused me. My receipt say $130 tux 30 discount, The catalog says 99

I went to a friar tux - horrible experience. then men's wearhouse, equally bad. customer service was super poor plus really expensive. i then tried an online rental site that a friend referred me to, www.simpletux.com - he spoke with someone there who helped get the right style he needed for him and his groomsmen. said that he was skeptical at first but everything worked out great - i agree. was nice to talk to someone who walked me through the steps rather than just hand me a catalogue.
