Two Bachelor parties?

Brianna, on February 18, 2018 at 5:59 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 7
So my fiancé’s family is very reserved and laid back. His brother is the best man and planned a laid back bachelor party for my fiancé’s brothers, dad, my dad and my brother. But, my fiancé is really close to my side of the family (including uncles, cousins etc) and they weren’t invited to the party thrown by his brother. My dad wants to throw him one as well including my side of the family doing things my family would like (strip clubs, bars etc). Is that stepping on his brothers toes? If he were to throw one, should he still invite his brothers and dad? He’s not trying to be rude to his brother but my fiancé was really excited to go out with EVERYONE. Anyways, should my dad throw one and if so should his brothers and dad be invited?

Not necessarily. Many brides have multiple showers and a bachelorette party, with no one taking offense. I do realize that some people can be sensitive about things like that, though. Your FH should know his family well enougj to guide ypu through this.

He can have 2 bachelor parties. I would ask his advice about inviting his family. It doesn’t seem to be something they would enjoy.

All of this! Why doesn't FH just ask his brother to invite your side of the family?

I also couldn't agree more about my dad taking FH to a strip club. I'm not anti strip club at all but, I would be like WTF if my dad took him to one. That is just weird (and I can only imagine very uncomfortable for the both of them) and they are buddies too.

Hey ladies!! Thanks so much for your feedback! I talked to my FH about it and he had a great idea. He suggested just calling it a “guys night” instead of a bachelors party and inviting his side of the family to my side. That way no one can be offended and everyone can be included. He can be so smart sometimes!!
