Two different colored bridesmaids dresses..opinions?!

meesh1204, on August 21, 2015 at 7:16 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7

So our wedding colors are white, black, and red (not a bright red, more like a dark rose red color) I have four girls in my bridal party including my maid of honor...I was thinking how it would look if two of the girls wore red dresses and the other two wore black. I want your HONEST opinions..is that too much or do you think it would look nice? My other option is to do all red dresses.

I've seen two different colors before, but not that drastically different. In the wedding I saw the MOHs were a different color than the rest of the bms. Both colors were in the red/ orange family so it worked. I've also heard of ombré bms dresses. I think red and black might be too drastically different for it to work. What if you did Red bms dresses and black tuxes? If you are really set on the red and black bms dresses, when you go to try them on try to find samples in those colors to see how it would look.

I think as long as the colors coordinate it will look fantastic. I wanted my MOH to stick out but her not in a different style dress so she's in purple while the rest are in teal.

I'm not a fan of matchy, matchy bridesmaids dresses so i like the idea.

I love this idea! I actually thought about doing this exact thing (we're also using red and black), but then I ended up incorporating red into my dress and decided I didn't want them to match me that much.

I hate red and black together. I would do all red, all black or shades of red. I'm doing three shades of purple, so I don't think mismatched dresses would look bad.

I'm worried about this too, but I'm going with it. I wanted a Red wedding, mostly, but my MOH was all meh about it, complaining she doesn't look good in red ... I wanted to please her as much as possible, so I went with Fall colors, being a Fall wedding and went with bridesmaids in red, maid of honor in truffle, a dk brown. I'm hoping it doesn't look ridiculous.
