Two Showers

CourtneyBrittain, on July 2, 2019 at 1:07 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 5
My family friends (in Texas, which is where we live) are throwing a bridal shower later this month. Invites are out, all grandmothers and bridesmaids were invited whether in TX or KS.

My FMIL’s family is throwing us one a week before (in Kansas, which is where FH is from).
Do we invite the bridal party to both?
5/6 of my bridesmaids are in TX and I know for a fact they can’t come to the KS shower, but are they supposed to be invited to the KS shower too? FSIL is the 1/6 that will be there of course; it’s her family and in her town!

I don't think they have to be invited to both. I'd just invite them to the local one.

I have a similar situation. I am extending the invite to them, so they feel included and can ultimately make the decision themselves on if they want to attend. In the end, I know they will not be attending and I have already spoken to them about not having an obligation too.. but I think it's nice to invite just because they are apart of the big day!

I’d extend the invite to both so they know they’re welcome to come, but I’d make it clear they’re not obligated to come to the second shower and definitely do not need get you a second gift!

3 of my 5 BM's were sisters/SIL's so I invited them to both. My 2 friends I only invited to the one local to them.

I'd invite bridesmaids & moms to both, to include them, even if they don't attend both.
