Two Unity Ceremony's

Candy, on July 27, 2022 at 9:25 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 4
My FH are definitely along the non-traditinal side of things and we are not having a religious ceremony. However, I absolutely love the Unity Braid and the meaning behind it and want to incorporate that into our ceremony.

On the flip side, he wants a wine / shot ceremony, and I do as well as it falls in line with who we are as a couple, and really most of the family as well
Would it be weird to have both?

Not at all! Nobody is going to sit there and be like "why are they doing two unity style activities right now" Smiley xd If you love the idea of both, go for it! Unique and fun ceremonies keep the guests interested anyhow.

I think you should definitely do both! Neither will take a ton of time so go for it!!

As long as whatever legal requirements are met, the rest is totally your call! I think doing both would be neat!

Okay, hear me out. Do the braid as for the two of you, but have his parents pour you a shot and your parents pour him a shot. That is a very European way to welcome people into the family. I know in my culture especially, Lithuanian, we have special alcohol specific for weddings for this reason.
