Types of Wedding Garland and Costs?

Kaitlyn, on November 20, 2016 at 11:45 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 4

Hello!

I am planning my June 2017 wedding in New Hope, PA and we are doing a rustic theme. I showed my florist a lot of pictures and eucalyptus has been mentioned. I was looking online and I kind of like the look of Salal garland a little more. I'm having a hard time finding a website that breaks down the prices of the different choices, eucalyptus, boxwood, salal, etc. Does anyone have some insight on these costs? Hoping the Salal might be cheaper but I read somewhere it might be seasonal, so I'm not sure. Help!

Salal is cheaper. Seeded euc. is expensive as far as greenery goes. While online sites like fifty flowers are NOT wholesale (or even close.. still unsure WHY they are allowed to say they are) you can get an idea on what is more or less expensive simply by looking at pricing... however, your florist can absolutely answer these questions.. it's what she is for! I get asked things like this all the time... texted these things at 3am... 5am.... haha

I'm having two eucalyptus garlands made each approx. 14 feet long, and my florist quoted me at $80 each, so $160 for both. She's doing a medium thickness on the euca., but I'm sure that would change the price if you did it very thin versus a thicker, fuller garland.

Check out everleafgreens.com. That's who I think we'll be using and their cost comparisons are clearly laid out – priced by the foot.

Sam's Club sells garland (you can look at reviews and order online) for $125 per 25ft. I believe my florist said it was salal. And it doesn't hurt to have extra. Smiley smile you can clip it and sprinkle it around the cake table, etc. my florist recommended spraying it was water very well to keep it looking fresh after you set it out.
