Typical Honeymoon Costs for All inclusive resorts

FutureMrsC, on March 1, 2016 at 10:26 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 6

I am just starting to look into what the typical all inclusive resorts cost, but I have no idea what to be mindful of when booking. What are the typical extras that you can add or remove from your package? What does all inclusive really mean? What are the hidden fees that you might not be prepared for? Anyone have good luck with a certain location? We're looking at St. Lucia for June 2017. Thanks!

I went to Jamaica 7 nights airfare included for 7 nights. $1250 per person, mind you it wasn't a 5 star resort but I am no pretty princess and we had the best time. There were literally no additional fees, unless you wanted to do a excursion.

All the drinks, food, entertainment, is all free. You only need to bring money for tips, spas, excursions, souvenirs.

We spent $2500 for our all inclusive honeymoon in Riviera Maya Mexico (including flights from Chicago to Cancun). This included food, shows at resort, domestic alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, and access to the Xcaret National Park. You could pay less to not have access to the park. Once there we bought a couple additional excursions (totally optional) and of course tipped the servers at the restaurants. Each restaurant was free except for a Lobster option and wine (because it wasn't domestic). We did have to pay $50 for round trip transportation to and from the airport. How much it cost depends on where you go an how nice the resort is. My dad does an all inclusive vacation and have never paid over $2K - not 5 star resorts but nice. Friends of mine did one and spent over $5K which I think is ridiculous and no way would an all inclusive vacation in the Caribbean be worth that to me.

Our Cancun honeymoon is booked for October and it was $4400. That includes airfare, transfer back and forth from resort and airport, and a swimming with the dolphins activity. That also includes travel insurance.

We are going to Punta Cana and it's 1208 a person for 8 nights. Taxes and gratuity included. Airfare is not included in that price but my mom is using points for our flights. Keep in mind all the extras though like excursions that aren't already included. Ziplining, for example.

We're doing an all-inclusive to the Dominican. It's costing us $3900 with flights, meals, alcohol, most activities with the exception of 2 or 3, ability to visit other resorts, etc. We upgraded our room so paid a bit more as a result.
