Typo on save the dates

Melanie, on August 27, 2021 at 2:06 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 8
So my fiancé and I have had our save the dates for about a month now and have looked over them many times since receiving them. Have had them looked over by my mother as well. We just sent them out 2 days ago. I was just staring at a copy of one we have home and realized there’s a typo in the town in which we’re to be married! (It’s supposed to say Stonington, but says Stongington) I’m SO upset and embarrassed now!
Any thoughts?

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it too much - most people aren't going to notice.

Will your guests be able to find the location by Googling, even with the misspelling? If so, that's all you need to worry about. You can't unsend them, and I wouldn't waste money by sending them again for anything sort of a date or venue change.

People won’t notice. Make sure it’s right on your actual invites.

I don't think many people will notice... the only concern would be people who Google it might be directed to a different location if Stongington is a place.

That happened to me too! Instead of saying 02.26.22 it said 20.26.22. One of our guests called and asked which month are you getting married? We laughed it off and we called everyone we invited and said we flubbed up and inverted the month and pretty much everyone laughed at us. Just be honest with people and make sure everything is correct on the invites.

I wouldn't worry about it especially because it's an STD--as long as the date is correct!

It happens! I wouldn't stress about it too much. If the date and general location are correct, people will get the idea.

I wouldn’t worry and don’t be embarrassed! Most people won’t even notice…just make sure it is spelled correctly on everything else.
