Uber for wedding transportation??

We're doing this too! I just looked this up today! My fiance' suggested it actually! Yay!

Seems like Uber has updated some offerungs specifically for this purpose! I just looked into their site and they now have "Uber events". Basically create a code for your guests, choose how many guests and how many rides per guest you're willing to cover, as well as a max amount per ride. The max amount would protect the organizers from price gouging but not the guests, I suppose. The last step is choosing the duration/hours your code is active.

Looks like there is a service fee, but the bride and groom would only end up paying for the rides that were taken.

Example:

100 guests

1 ride per guest

Max amount per ride $10

Total: $1000 + $25 service charge

Max amount I'd end up paying if EVERY guest used it = $1025.00

Seems like a great deal considering a lot of guests would probably combine into the same Uber and we only have about 2 miles from venue to hotel.

I'm in OC CA. I would like to use Uber to transport all my guests (100) to and from their location to wedding. I don't see how to connect with Uber to sign up for this.

Any suggestions how to connect to see if Uber does this in OC and how to set it up?

So, I was thinking of using an Uber just for me and my groom to go from the church, to take wedding pictures, and then to the reception venue. Is this not a good idea? I saw Uber has luxuary cars too. Uberlux

Ive looked into wedding uber. It appears that you can set up the date time and location and amount that you put on each voucher and then Uber will send you a code to send to your wedding guest. We plan on giving vouchers to get the out of towners from the hotel to the venue and back. According to what I have read if you put $50 on a voucher and they only spend $20 you only pay the $20. And you get to specify the to and from so people aren’t riding around town on your dime.
