Hi, all:

I haven't posted here in a while, but I could really use your help!

My hubby has been looking for a new sportcoat and conveniently forgot to mention that he didn't cash in his Men's Wearhouse coupon that gave him a free suit with five tux rentals in our wedding party. He said the offer was only good a month after the wedding! Gulp!

Have any of you successfully negotiated an extension on the free suit offer at Men's Wearhouse? What was the tactic?

Have you called them? I would just explain that things were pretty hectic after the wedding (it's true for pretty much anyone) and unfortunately were unable to stop by and cash in the coupon, until now.

Thanks, @VC. We're going to try that. I don't have the coupon in-hand to know all the details, but a month after a wedding does seem like such a short window. Granted, we are now at month _six_ . . .

You should definitely give them a call. Even if they can't give you the free suit they will still probably offer you a great deal!

Success! They actually offered him the latest suit reimbursement amount, which is $100 more than what the original certificate covered! He didn't even have to get into nitty-gritty details about why he was cashing in the offer after 30 days. It never hurts to ask!
