So my aunt and uncle never had and kids and I’m very close to them. My mom goes over to their house every week to help him with his at home dialysis. She always is telling him what’s new with the wedding planning. The other day he was telling her how sad he was that he will never get to have any of those experiences that my dad has because they could never have kids. He even started crying. My mom told me all about it and I want to find a way to incorporate my uncle into the wedding so he can have some of those experiences. I want to come up with something that also won’t take away from my dad. I want to have my dad walk next down the aisle and have a solo father daughter dance with just him. What can I do special for my uncle?

Is it possible to have a second dance with your uncle? Or maybe see if your dad minds splitting the father/daughter dance? I know it isn't ideal, but if your dad doesn't mind, maybe you could dance half of the song with your dad, and the second half with your uncle if you don't want to do two?

I like the idea of having a 2nd dance for you and your uncle. I think that would be very sweet.

One of my cousins is very close to her step father so half way down the isle he joined them on the walk down the isle which was very sweet. And they also had a separate dance and she said very kind words about him in her speech and being very lucky to have an uncle she’s that close with.

My FH uncle was a huge part of his life growing up. He is pretty much his primary father figure. We are having him do a reading and he is so excited about it!
