Hi ladies ... having been engaged for over a year and a half I’ve had many opportunities to go back & forth with colors .. i live in Florida and prob will do a beach wedding with water in background maybe in the keys in November ...unsure of what color scheme to go with I love both ahhhh!! The first is a rust / terracotta and 2) modern cream and blush boho
I definitely understand your confusion because I'm honestly not sure the best color option. However it might be because I don't really think fall and beach go together, but I'm also from PA so the last thing that November I associate with that time of year is beach. Instead I think of the cold, sweaters, leggings, and hot chocolate. The first option gives me a very fall vibe, but the second one gives me more of the beach vibe.

I totally get you , I’m FL it’s summer and beach year round with some colder winter months ... I also thought too the darker rust colors would clash or take away from the ocean or beach backdrop

Ahhh that’s tough ! A good question , I’m not sure I love that timeless clean look with neutral colors and also like a pop of color
I've never been to Florida, but I'm sure I will one day. My husband's aunt lives there plus we plan on taking our children to Disney. Anyways, I agree that the darker rust colors would clash with the ocean or beach backdrop. If you really like the rust colors, I would probably pick a different location. Do you have your venue booked because the venue normally will help guide you towards colors if you aren't sure?

You should come down it’s nice year round ... the kids would definitely love Disney and visit the beach . I originally had a venue I liked that had those rust warm colors but bc of the pandemic I’m thinking a smaller intimate wedding of 50 or less and I think a big venue would be for nothing .. so figure the beach is a special Place and can be good for intimate gatherings

I'm currently pregnant with our first so once she's old enough to remember we will definitely be visiting. My husband and his brother used to go to Florida every summer to stay with their grandparents when they were still alive.
I would recommend hiding a venue first especially since you plan on getting married this year. A lot of venues are already booked because of weddings being postponed. Even if it is the beach you will have to make sure that you are complying with any rules they might have. After you nail down the venue then I'd worry about colors.
I also just wanted to add that when we were considering getting married at the state park we got engaged at we would've had to obtain several different permits months in advance and there were all sorts of different restrictions and that was before Covid. I'm not sure if beaches have the same requirements, but I would recommend researching it.
Thats true, most beaches do require permits, Im loking to do it where itll be a beach resort and have a privately beach so it'll be inlcuded in the venue fee. I know so many weddings are booking up fast, I put so many plans on hold because of the pandemic and not sure how many guests exactly would be willing to come.
It seems to me that for fall it will be cool 1) terracotta / rust because the whole holiday will turn out brighter and more colorful. Especially in Florida in November.
If I had to choose one, I'd be #1! We had copper as one of our accent colors, but I would've made it more prominent if it was easier to find. Love the rust look!
Even though it's a bit trendy right now, I still think it's a gorgeous color!
I like the blush tones a lot more for a beach wedding. My FH's cousin actually was supposed to get married in the Keys last year, but changed it to Block Island, RI along the water and she did like a VERY light blush color for her girls' bridesmaids dresses and she did a lot of blush throughout. The guys were in a light navy and it looked really pretty.
