Underage bridal party - bachelorette party?

Jessilyn, on September 27, 2020 at 7:33 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 8
My maid of honor and I are 23, my other two bridesmaids are my sister who is 18 and my brother’s girlfriend who is 20. I know my fiancé’s mother and my maid of honor want to do something crazy, make some big weekend event in the city with male strippers involved. I really don’t care, it’s up to them and I’m not supposed to know any details, but if we do something like that what about the 2/3 of my bridal party who are underage?! Anyone else have this “dilemma”?

Hi Jessilyn, we did a spa weekend for mine and it was a blast! Perhaps something like a spa or Dave and Busters for all the girls to be able to come? Totally understand you want to include all of the special women ❤️

I would not consider planning an overnight if some had kids and could not do it. I would not go for a Casino and floor show if it were beyond the budget of 2 people. So no, I would not plan without something all could do. They can all go in a restaurant that serves non drinkers. But strippers and liquor together, their is a minimum age for the club itself. So if offered a stripper and liquor based party in my honor, I would say, please plan something everyone is of age to do, and can afford. Which means, no strippers or clubs. May include restaurants with alcoholic and non-alcoholic choices that allow adolescents, not those with restrictions. And may not be overnight unless every person can afford that. Make it clear, you want something appropriate to all. ... For me in the same situation, I did turn down a bach offered like this. As of the time FI and I started exclusively dating then living together, that was the end of strip clubs or lap dancers for either of us. One more night as a single woman, would never have been celebrated that way, because it was nothing I would do without my FI on any occasion.

Yes I’m honestly not crazy about the idea of a stripper or strip club in the first place. It seems a bit icky to me, my fiancé and I have already spoken about the fact that he wont be going to a strip club. I’m not keen on the idea of “last night as a single man/woman”, you’re not single lol. I guess for me male strippers would be more funny and awkward than sexual.

Yes, I find most good comedy clubs, many nightclub acts and a good dance performance, often genuinely sexier or more erotic, and the humor intentional, not awkward and rather sad like most strip shows. Heck, my MIL is more entertaining on her own, a great storyteller. Of all the things possible, a strip show would not be how I would like to spend time with my MIL.

Hey! I am 20 and my bridesmaids are 19 and 20, so we are in a similar boat! We decided that we were going to do a joint bach party with my FH and his groomsmen at our local roller skating rink! We don't really care for the bar or club scene anyways and since we often all hang out together it will be a lot of fun for everyone!

Most of my bridal party are over 21 but I do have my daughter and my niece being junior bridesmaids. So what we are doing is we are going out for a spa day and for lunch with my daughter and niece so they aren't left out and then that night my over 21 bridal party are going to Atlantic city for 2 days.

It's completely up to you and your relationship-but me and hubby are legally married and we are still going to be having wild bachelor/ette parties before our wedding next year. We are secure enough in our relationship to not let strippers get in the way of what we have. If you don't trust your partner then maybe you shouldn't be marrying them.

If some of my bridal party were underage, I would do some activities that include them, but if I really wanted to let loose and do some "of age" activities, I would still do them-because it's YOUR PARTY.
