Underwater wedding

I'm trying to figure out if I should wear a wedding dress for my underwater wedding OR a wetsuit and tutu. Any advice on underwater attire?

Can I please remind people that in the original Hans Christian Anderson story, The Little Mermaid throws herself from the top tower and becomes one with the sea at the end of the story because the prince rejects her when she turns back into a mermaid to save him.

    Thanks, as you were.

@EatKnitRun: I was thinking she meant tutu as in a long, flowy, soft chiffon or high quality tulle tutu, like floor length long.

    Wetsuit all the way though.

I don't know about the skydiving stuff, (I'm completely acrophobic so that wouldn't work for me, and it's all about me.....) but generally, you need to have a concrete address for the license.

Oh, you have words. They're written on a slate, like a whiteboard.

I am with Beutivant commenting so I can check back later after work. Hopefully she comes back later. I want the details! My FH and I are both scuba divers and while it never crossed my mind to go this route I am very interested in the details.

I think you should wear a magikarp costume.

I vote wetsuit, but could you do a flowy tulle skirt instead of a tutu? It would look so beautiful moving in the water, but still allow you to stay warm and be less heavy (safer) than an actual dress.

**Side note, Rue 21 has single layer tulle skirts for cheap (like under $30). So if you ruin it, who cares.

Then maybe have a dress for when you return to land?

I'm out on make up hell.

You're going to need to figure that out on your own.

You guys are cracking me up! I'm new to forums so the abbreviations are screwing me up. What is BAM?

My fiancé and I met at a spearfishing tournament and equally enjoy our underwater life.

The wedding will take place in the Florida aquarium and we are both REQUIRED to wear wet suits. Our official will stand with our guest in the observation room. We will be able to hear him clearly but we will have to hold up signs that say "I do".

I will have to wear the full scuba bcd so my dress won't be totally visible. I will spend minimal money on whatever I chose. I really just can decide what option to go with!

Some dress material is light and flowy. Which is cool under the water. But maybe a tutu would be easy and cute

FYI: mermaid tails are against the rules for the Florida aquarium. That was my original request!

Well aren't you just adorable. I love the photos with dresses, but (personally) I'd probably be much more comfortable in a tutu.

Underwater "trash the dress" type shoots wearing a simple flowy gown are amazing and make for some beautiful ethereal pictures!!! I hope you can work a dress in somewhere!
