We had to uninvited a guest the morning of the wedding. The night before we were hanging out with a group of people. This is the third night I’ve spoke with this person in person. He is my husbands friend of 15 years. This person after finding out I wanted a night nanny when the time came went on a tirade of how I was going to be a bad mother and who was going to pay for it and that my job wasn’t real since in his eyes it wasn’t as challenging as his job. The night before that he made comments about what my weight should be. He has made comments to my husband about how he didn’t propose to me right and got me the wrong ring.
All this to say the friend did tell my husband he no longer wants to be friends which I get. My question is has anyone been through something similar? Any suggestions on how to support my husband through the loss of a friend? It sucks to be starting my marriage this way.
