Unhappy with wedding photos

The little girl with the dress on her head in the background is bother me. I know that’s accidental, but just keep looking at the photos I post..

It just does not look like anything was edited at all!

I hate the first two pictures. They look like the most horrible version of myself, ever. I love the family picture!

Hey hey no more tears. I'm sorry that this has happened to you. I know it's easier said than done but you have to look on the positive side of things...you got married to your favorite person and y'all had a blast doing it. You have those memories! You may not have 100 great photos but you do have some that you love and those will be the ones you cherish. You probably would've only displayed or hung about 5 of them anyway lol


But seriously, I know it sucks right now especially because you paid and trusted this person but later on, you guys will sit down and laugh about this girl in all of your pictures lol! This will be a conversation piece everytime someone new comes over and wants to see some wedding photos. Maybe for your one year anniversary, get all dressed up and take some new pictures. Could possibly make a tradition out of it!

And by the way, I think you look great. I LOVE the moody vibe of the pics, your hair looks great and even though that girl is running around in the pics, you look like you were enjoying yourself!

I would breathe first and when calm ask the lady could she do more touch ups at no charge as you are not fully happy and point out some pics. Did other people give this person stellar reviews? I am very sorry but like the pp said your happiest day is the person you married. I would have friends and family post pics on social media. Maybe they got some happy shots.

As for the portraits... perhaps the two of you can hire a photographer in your city or on your honeymoon and do another more relaxed shoot? That might be a lot of fun and give you new photos to hang around the house. Airbnb photographers are around $100-$200 per person and as a couple you’ll usually get around 40 digital images, just check the descriptions on Airbnb.

If editing is your main issue, I would address that with your photographer. Tell her/him that you are not happy with the photos and request better editing. They maybe able to fix what you don’t like. But you do look beautiful.

Did you do bridal or engagement photos with them? How did those turn out? I do see what you mean. The girl that did our engagement pictures added trees into the shots because people were in the background. I know that the little girl could be photo shopped out. I'm super surprised they didn't do that... Nonetheless, you look beautiful!! Focus on the 25% that you love

As long as you have a few you love, it will be okay! Go get the ones you loved printed and frames. Make them your profile pictures. In a year or two, the only wedding photos you will see are the ones framed in your house. As long as you have a few you love, this will become a distance memory.

Oh honey, I am so sorry you don't love all of your photos. I agree that some have weird flashes in them but the others look just fine. I would speak to your photographer, see if she can do more of the editing you expected since you are unhappy. The great thing is that you do love some of them and as someone else mentioned, get those framed, keep those around you. It was such a wonderful day and the ones you love will keep reminding you of that and hopefully your photographer is able to get more pictures that you like. Good luck and congratulations!

Hi Bethany! I’m so sorry this is happening to you. I’m sure there’s a way around it specially since it sounds is mostly about editing. The first thing I would do is contact them and tell them about it. Do not do any reviews for them just yet as you want to make sure you get this fix. You should have a sit down and explain your frustration with the pictures and go from them. I’m sure they can fix it with you.
If it helps I didn’t like the editing of my video at first. I told them it was too dark and moody and we worked around it a lot of times until I got what I wanted. Speaking up helps and it just a matter of doing it respectfully and on time.

I agree. I think if you contact your photographer and just let them know what photos you would like edited they should be able to do it. Also, look at your contract as well because there may be some language with regards to editing. I think the photos are beautiful but I can imagine being unhappy with them so I understand.

Honestly I feel like reshooting your photos isn't a bad idea. I know that sounds odd but there's plenty of people who do photoshoots just for better photos later. I'd also see if you can get them edited in a different way to your liking

I understand how you feel. I was not really very happy with mine either. I would ask the person to do some more editing. They can lighten them up a bit and take away some of the darkness and shadowing. Honestly it’s hard to get over but after 7 months I’ve just had to move on. I picked a hand full of good ones and just used them. Good luck.
