Unique ideas to include nieces and nephews in my wedding

The wedding reception is a thank you to all guests for attending so I can’t really think of too many appropriate ways to single them out at that time. You could dance with each of them at some point, have a group or individual photos taken, maybe some kid friendly menu or dessert choices. Cozy upholstered seating areas are popular with teens as are things like photo booths. You could enlist their help on recommending music they like. I would not assign them any tasks as far as day of responsibilities, though.


If you are open to ceremony or pre-ceremony involvement there are other options. You could have them walk down the aisle, perhaps escorting other family members or do a reading without being in a wedding party. You could ask your niece to get ready with you as a special treat or give them all gifts just for being special to you.

I would maybe put them as greeters/ushers before the ceremony and to help people find their table at the reception. They could have corsage/boutonnières to make them feel extra special!

I'm making my nephews aisle runners meaning they will roll out my aisle before, the bride, me.
