So I would keep two things in mind:
1) Boxes will be more expensive to mail
2) A lot of people, including myself, would freak tf out if I got a realistic looking finger in the mail. You know your crowd best, and it is your wedding, but maybe keep it in mind if not all of your guests do the horror movie thing.

All of this. Those are going to be pricey to mail and I would be completely freaked out to receive something like this in the mail with no warning

My very first thought was this seems really creepy and I would definitely freak out if I received this in the mail. While a wedding is about the bride and groom that doesn't mean you should freak your guests out by sending them a fake finger in the mail. I would be worried about what type of wedding I would be walking into as a guest.

I would definitely freak out if I saw this in the mail, but if your family and friends know this is what you and your FH are into, I say go for it. There are realistic looking fingers on Etsy, but they aren't cheap! Couple links for you to check out below.

I think it is totally fine not to have the whole traditional white wedding and to want to incorporate things both of you like, but I wouldn't do it at the expense of creeping out your friends and family. If I got this in the mail and opened it around my young child, I would be furious.

I don't necessarily agree with everyone on how this will freak out the people getting them. You and your fiance know your guests and I'm sure they know how you guys are and probably wouldn't expect anything different from you guys. This goes along great with the theme of your wedding. And I think this is an awesome and so original way of a save the date. The only thing I agree with others is that it will cost a lot more to mail to everyone.

I love this idea. Budget to send the boxes because we sent mini boxes with treats with our STDs and it cost about 5-7$ domestically for about 120 guests. And the three that we sent internationally was about 50$ each.
