Unique Vegas Wedding

Shelly, on September 25, 2019 at 2:55 PM Posted in Planning 0 18
Looking to get married in Vegas in October 2020 and was wondering if anybody had any advice on destination weddings, especially when it comes to unique wedding venues. I am definitely not looking to get married in a chapel.

Although we are not doing Vegas, out of curiosity, I did get online to check out available options. I was thinking that all Vegas had to offer were those kitschy little wedding chapels, which are not my style at all. But I was wrong. There are lots of hotels that do weddings from casual to fancy!! Go to www.vegas.com and click on the "weddings" tab. It will give you a list of all the options, and you can click each one to check them out in more detail. I LOVE the options at the Stratosphere!! We have stayed there before, just on vacation, and it was awesome. I love their options. But there are lots of others too.

We almost did Vegas. They have one cute venue where you are underground and an aquarium is visible from all sides. Then one that's in front of a waterfall, one that's in front of a pool/water feature, one directly on the strip, one up in the air at a hotel. Etc.

Thank you for the suggestion! Will definitely check out vegas.com. My dream venue right now is either the Shark Reef or Beach both at Mandalay Bay, but the time of day for both doesn't seem ideal. We are going out in January to book locations and put deposits down so I am looking for alternate ideas that are different. My fiance wants to check out Maverick Helicopters as he has his heart set on that right now. So those are the types of venues we are looking at.

Thank you for posting those! They are very beautiful! I am looking into either Shark Reef or Mandalay Bay Beach but both have very weird times they are available due to the public. So not sure if either of those will work out.

Not in Vegas, but some unique wedding venues we came across were breweries & wineries, museums, aquariums, zoos, equestrian centers, etc. I'm sure all the Vegas hotels do weddings too. For a destination wedding, I'd send out save the dates with your wedding website & hotel block completely set up. We did that and it was helpful to all our guests traveling to Colorado. Before our invites even went out, we had 30ish rooms booked in our hotel block.

I don't know the name of the company & this depends on if you are wanting a wedding or more of an elopement feel but there is a company that will ride you and your fiance to the Grand Canyon & you can get married on a cliff.

I've had friends also get married at Paris Las Vegas & they have a beautiful set up and affordable small wedding packages.

I think you can even get married under the Las Vegas sign lol.

I saw a wedding at Venetian hotel that had everyone in different gondolas circling the bride and groom that were also in a gondola. It looked very nice and unique. Not sure the logistics of it since you’ll need to make sure there’s audio and enough space for everyone but is definitely something to consider.

Our wedding was in Vegas! We went to Vegas Weddings where they had several ceremony locations. We chose the outdoor balcony next to the chapel. It looked like a little castle with the stained glass windows and stone exterior. It included a 2 hour reception and amazing food and cake and beautiful flowers. It wasn't the most unique but it was beautiful and perfect.

I think the one you are thinking of is the one my fiance is looking into. I believe it is Maverick helicopters and we need more details from them but I believe my fiance said that it was definitely an elopement and that guests couldn't come to the Grand Canyon. So well see but yes we were looking to do something along those lines. Thanks!
