Unity Ceremony with kids

I echo PP, the sand ceremony, sounds good for that age range. We're looking into the Unity Cross, or Unity Heart. I have a 9 yr old. We want to include him in a small piece of the ceremony.

I've seen the love lock ceremony work out with children. What I saw is you have personalized locks that attach to a tree (normally metal), the couple places their locks on the base of the tree and the children can lock theirs on the branches. Check out an example at Love Lock on Etsy
