Unplugged Ceremony - Thoughts?

What are your thoughts on an unplugged ceremony? I like the idea of having no phones during the ceremony. However, I see photos/videos from friends weddings that guests capture with their phones and some of them are so sweet/pretty. So I wonder if I will regret not having those candid moments...

Same! FH and I also love October. His birthday is in November and mine is in December, so we thought we’d get married in October so that the last three months of the year would always be the BEST! We live in Charleston, SC and fall is okay here, but it’s definitely much more beautiful in NC, for sure! We are actually honeymooning in Asheville the week after the wedding. 😄

I love Charleston! We almost did my Bachelorette party there. But I have been so many times, we ended up choosing Savannah instead.

Asheville is amazing!!! Have you ever been? It is beautiful, especially that time of year! If you need any suggestions of things to do, let me know! I can throw a few your way! It is only about 2 hours away from where I am getting married. The NC mountains are the best!

Oooh! I love Savannah, too! You’re going to have the best time! We’re just staying in Charleston for bachelorette/bachelor night since we’re doing them the Sunday before the wedding while everyone will be in town. Should still be fun though, especially since I never really go out anymore. Lol!

We’ve been to Asheville a few times, but I can count those times on less than one hand... so, yes! If you have any fun suggestions, please let me know for sure! We’ve already rented our cabin (in Candler) and we know we want to tour the Biltmore and Zipline, but we’re not sure about what else. Thanks so much!

Yes! Any truly professional photographer knows this is every couple's worst nightmare and they should have an excellent plan to calm your fears. For daughter, besides there being two photographers, when he told her everything was automatically saved every 30 minutes to cloud-based storage, no matter how big a worry-wort she is by nature, she figured she needed to trust him and let it go! Deep breaths! Smiley winking Smiley heart

Yes, you will have a lot of fun. Especially since you will have a bunch of people in town! That will be the best part.

I was going to send a message with things to do, but I guess that is not an option on WW? Definitely do Biltmore! You can honestly spend an entire day there between the house, the gardens, the winery, the restaurants, and the shops! Also, if you are into hiking, there are some great trails around Asheville, including a really pretty Arboretum. White water rafting, if they haven’t closed for the season, is also really fun and a good thing to do up there. If you are into wine and beer, there are uncountable amounts of breweries and vineyards in and around Asheville. Sierra Nevada is a little outside of the city, but the food is delicious and the views are great. I’ve done an entire day of vineyards/wineries. They are about 30-45 minutes outside of town, but worth the trip.

We got married on June 8th and had an unplugged ceremony. A few people did not listen. It's very tacky to have phones in your face while your walking down the aisle.
