Unresponsive Vendors

Is anyone else running into unresponsive vendors? I've been in discussions with two separate hair and makeup artists. The first one I decided against because she took 2 weeks to respond to me after I asked her for the contract. I emailed the one I decided to go with on the 8th saying I'd like to book, they messaged me early on the 9th saying that they would put together the contract, and still nothing today (the 11th) at noon. Am I just being impatient?

    Some vendors are naturally unresponsive and others who are normally punctual are swamped because of Covid.


    Give them 3-4 business days to respond. If they don't, then look elsewhere. You can find local vendors via Instagram and Thumbtack.com that are not on the standard lists.

    I would give them a few more days to put together the contract. If you're looking for an update, you can always email them to ask if they have an estimate of when you can expect to receive the contract. Otherwise, if one week goes by with no response, I would move on to someone else.

    I would give them until Monday and then email them back. I am a very impatient person and get upset when people don’t respond right away but I won’t text or email them again until 3 days later which doesn’t include the weekends.

    Some vendors are unresponsive. But considering it’s only been a couple days I’d wait it out a lil bit more too before following up

    I asked this very same question in a post yesterday. Some of the ladies gave me some perspective that I hadn’t considered, so I’m trying to be more patient. However, I agree with PP - if I haven’t heard from the vendor in a week (even a simple follow up to say I’m working on it), I’d move on too.
