Unresponsive Venue! Help!

Misty, on November 27, 2020 at 8:31 PM Posted in Planning 0 11
We are planning our wedding for March. I am freaking out because we don’t know what’s going to happen with restrictions (DE only allowing 50 people max at the moment). I have reached out to my venue via email (I was told that was the best way to contact), inquiring on how we are to proceed because it is just over three months away. A week later, I still haven’t received any response. I am really just trying to see what our options are with the least amount of expense as possible!

Many businesses tend to be swamped because of the pandemic..and now add the holidays on top of that. Contact them by phone early next week because emails can and do get overlooked. jf they still dont respond, start looking elsewhere.

Current couples take priority & they’re probably swamped with those weddings & the holidays certainly don’t help. Reach out & call them mid week next week

I would try emailing them again. If there is still no response, try contacting them via phone. As a last resort, find a Plan B venue. I hope everything works out!!

I have left a message. I’m just stressed at this point! We haven’t even chosen the menu yet! Since putting down the deposit in April, they have communicated with us once, and that was to tell us about the 50% increase in their menu selections.

We're choosing our menu in January for our March wedding. It originally was supposed to be October but obviously Covid has been messing things up.

That would definitely worry me though, only one time since April? Is it possible for you to go to the venue one day to see if anyone is there?

I’ve done that too. Went there for a meeting with my bridesmaids & asked to see the “Event Coordinator”-because I don’t even know their name (they sign everything with “Event Team”) & no one was there.

That sounds like a huge red flag along with no one being on site during business hours. Start looking for a new place asap. If they truly want your business, then they will respond more than once.

I would try contacting them via telephone. If that is not successful, you could go to the venue and see if anyone is there?
