Unusual wedding dress

I don't think you necessarily have to do custom if you don't want to, but you could check out red bridesmaids dresses! Sometimes, those can be just a fancy as a wedding dress, and cheaper too. I believe some designers offer red wedding dresses, though I'm not sure which ones specifically. Also check out Etsy for custom dresses.

I agree with Lisa about a red ball gown or evening dress that isn’t advertised as “wedding”. Have you ever been to the Fashion Outlets? They have designer outlet stores you can look at gowns. Otherwise, I’d suggest a pageant or prom dress maker.

I think you can find a red gown at non-bridal stores. Try Tadashi Soji, Marchesa, Ashley and Justin Bridal, Adriana Pappell, Pronovias, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Saks. Perhaps try bridal stores that sell special occasion dresses like Brides by Young in Schaumberg, IL and Gigi's Closet in Glenview. There's also Rent the Runway or even dyeing a white dress, red.
