Just Said Yes May 2021

update in my last post "how Do You Deal With racist Family???"

Kasy, on April 24, 2021 at 9:06 AM Posted in Family and Relationships 0 2

Ever since I did my post in my situation of my family I have received so many messages. Thank you All! Thank you for the support and the advice!

I had made my piece with myself in accepting the fact that my family will not be there. Its OK with me. As many have told me... They don't deserve to be in our wedding. They have tried many ways to convince me not to get married. They even said I will be disowned from the family... IM OK WITH IT! LOL!

Im two weeks away from my wedding and Im nervous and happy. Whoever shows up is who I will consider true friends and family.

My fiance has been very supportive. And Im very grateful for that.

Im at peace and happy.

First of all I am so sorry your family has unsupportive. My family (parents specifically) opinions matter so much to me and I wish they didn't, it would break my heart if they didn't approve of who I was marrying. But in the end there is nothing you can do. All that matters is your and your fiancé are happy and like you said your true friends and family will be there to celebrate you Smiley heart wishing you nothing but the best!

I'm sorry your family won't support you or come to your wedding, but I'm glad you've made peace with it. Your and your FH's happiness matters most, and if your family's presence will interfere with that, then it's probably best that they aren't there. The people who love and support you most will be there. Best of luck, and congratulations! Smiley heart
