Updated baptismal certificate

Jess, on September 5, 2017 at 9:27 AM Posted in Planning 0 3

I completely forgot to ask my priest, and of course the office is closed, but does anybody know how to get an updated baptismal certificate? I was baptized at a different church then where I made all other sacraments.

You just have to call the church you were baptized at and they can get you an updated copy! The priest that is there now will most likely need to sign it, so it may take a few days to get!

Hey Jess. I also was baptized in a different church than where I received my other sacraments. The church where I had my other sacraments had the up to date copy of my baptismal certificate (since they had to add the info themselves when they gave me those sacraments) so I didn't have to track down the church where I was originally baptized. Try the church where you received your most recent sacrament first before you go running around tracking down the original.

I have a question similar to this one. My fiance is Catholic but I am Baptist. I have considered converting but have not done so just yet. I was baptized 25 years ago. The church is asking for an updated certificate but can I just use that one or do I need to contact my Baptist Church from that time?
