UPDATED! Bouquet Charms - DIY Pics

~*Mrs. WFL*~, on September 8, 2011 at 8:40 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 16

So I wanted to keep my grandmothers and grandfather that had passed away with me on my wedding day, so I am putting their photos on my bouquet. This is a picture of the two I created so far. These two lovely ladies are my grandmothers. The pics are a little blurry, because I had 8x11 photos that I had to try to shrink down into a 1/2" square! Anyone know of a better way to shrink pictures but keep the pixels?

JENNIFER YOU ARE AMAZING!!!!!! With the help of Jennifer, the charms are PERFECT!!!!! Thank you so much! Attached are the new ones next to the old ones! Smiley smile I can't thank you enough!

What did you use to shrink them down? Typically things only pixelate like that if you size up. =\

I used paint because that was the only one I could print with... I shrunk them in picture manager and paint. Smiley sad I can't figure it out.

@ Robyn T. - I ordered them from Holly Hobby, however, you can grab the charms at any craft stores. I found them at Pat Catan, Michaels, Holly Hobby... Depends on what stores you have around you.

@ everyone - Thanks! I'm glad you all like the idea!

If you can print them out on photo paper a camera place should be able to shrink it for you at little cost. My boss had an old picture of her and her late father and a friend of hers resized it for her. When I asked how it was done without causing pixelation my boss said she was told it's easier to resize printed and/or film pictures because they don't have pixels. I cannot guarantee the legitimacy but it's worth looking in to.

@TACH - I just got pictures of them, scanned them into the computer and cropped and resized them. Jennifer H. may have to share her secrets with us all on how she did it without ruining the Pixels. You can get the charms from most craft stores. I ordered mine from hobby lobby.

@Everyone - Thank you, I will post a picture of my DIY Bouquet with them attached once I do the bouquet Smiley smile
